Sweet Groot has been through a lot since we pulled him from Wasco Shelter. He had been hit by a car which caused a pelvic fracture, and then diagnosed with a diaphragmatic hernia (likely caused by being hit).

He had to go through a risky surgery, but thankfully made it through safely and has been recovering nicely since then! He was up and about wagging his tail within a day, and the staff loved him. A lot of people were rooting for Groot, and we have been thankful to receive so much support and donations for his expensive but necessary surgery ?

Now that he’s gone through surgery, Groot is looking for his forever home. He is a wonderful boy who would be a great companion.
