Success Story – Lovebug Dollie

Success Stories

UPDATE 2/17/2019 – Dollie has found a home!

Dollie is an Australian Shepherd about 2 years old! She is a total love bug and goofball! Never a dull moment with her! She is vocal therefore when you talk to her she will talk back to you. Once you get to learn her voice you will understand what she is asking for. Yes, she changes her voice depending on what she wants.

She loves chasing her tail! She is crate trained as well. She doesn’t usually have any accidents inside her kennel or inside the house, but as with any dog, you have to know when she is asking to be let outside. Dollie has a passion with the outdoors. She loves being outside more than inside, but she is happy either way!

She doesn’t usually get up on the furniture even when asked to. Just not something she like doing. She has a favorite blanket that she must have with her always. Which I will provide.

Dollie is a fur baby who you don’t need to worry about over eating. She will eat when she is hungry and will leave the rest inside her food bowl until she is hungry again. She will let you know if you have upset her in some way. She will usually dump her dog bowl or water bowl (food/water or empty) and it doesn’t mean that she doesn’t like the food (rarely), she is just telling you she’s upset.

She LOVES squeaky toys and tennis balls! Inside, we do play fetch (especially during the winter time), and she will bring it back to you sometimes playing with you when you try to get it back! She is FAST! Again she loves the outdoors so be careful she doesn’t bolt to go exploring!

She isn’t very fond of leashes, but she loves her collar and the sound it makes when she shakes and she hears her tags. Dollie is a sensitive girl, so she would be best with someone who will “baby” her. She knows some commands like kennel, sit, sit pretty, no, and down. She is used to having to sit or sit pretty before getting served her food.

Dollie does not like water. She will bolt when you turn the water on to fill her water dish and she is frightened with having a bath. This is more than likely due from her unknown past.

She is dog selective, but would do BEST as an only dog! She hasn’t really bothered cats, but she is curious about them. She is up to date on her shots and already microchipped.

If you are interested in adopting please pm me or email hmountaingirl17@aol.com so I can send you an application. A home check and agreement are also required.
